blocking technique

here we can see instructor Tom and instructor kevin practicing some of the blocking techniques we employ many methods a block is also an attack.. the leg being the most powerful weapon in defense may also be the weakest, as u can see kevin is on one leg he can be tripped easily etc.

senior instructor damian arm locks Rob

fu lung chuan employs uses various arm locks holds and chin-na as damien demonstrates one here on instructor Rob. Rob has succesfully got to black sash in jung shin is proficient in pressure points ha has achieved instructor status in fu lung chuan and attended seminars with rick clark he is indeed profient in his art

senior instructor damien kicks instructor Rob

there are easily over 30 kicks in the system here is just one of them simple and effective

si gung

si gung mike o'meara started his humble beginings in 1978, it was that year he was introduced to fu jow pai and later chinese boxing...back in those days it was the training was more gruelling as sifu recalls.

instructor kevin kicks Tom

This was taken from our film paractice, it took about 8 takes to get this, its all about timing with the correct timing u can make it look powerful as u can see here its all timing ..

stomach workout

here we see a stomach exercise called the dragon flag..the orignal idea was bruce lee's it really is a great stomach exercise ab training is a major part of what we do, sifu might ask u to hold ur legs six inches off the ground for a few mins on some days when he feels ur ready..

picture effect

finish attack

all attacks in fu lung chuan are deadly coupled with the correct body use timing speed power a lot of damage can be dont to those who may be behind but all techniques drills are done in a safe manner in the begining when michael thinks ur ready then u apply them with more speed and power..

Instructor Tom

This is the cat stance in low postion ,gong fu has very hard stance work which builds tremendous strength in the legs basically this is a one leg squat with 95 per cent weight on the rear leg and the other five on the front not a practical stance by any means but when changed to high cat stance there is a spring power in the legs which propels the whole body forward.

Iron shirt 2

This was a very early picture of the chief instructor doing a demo. this was taken during the early 80's, many ab exercises are used to condition this area. qi is a mystery to how it is used the best way we can explin it is will power our mind and how we ditrect it thorough our bodies thorugh the meridians chakras and dantien it all may sound complicted but basically sifu makes hi abs as hard as a car tyre best way to explain it.

double dragon stamp

this is damien demonstrating the very advanced dragon stamp kick notice the height great power can be generated from such an attack great enough to puncture a lung at the least when executed in the correct manner.

iron shirt demo

here we see the chief instructor demonstrating the control of his abdomen and qi. we do a lot of stomach exercises and qi work, we must think our tummy as like a tyre when hit with force the power will bounce off the tummy. this one of the secret qi methods of course there are no secrets only hard work..

head to toe stretch

This is an advanced stretch ,we always stretch for maybe ten mins before a class its very important part of our routine.most injuries and stiffness occur due to improper methods ,bouncing stretching movements are best avoided, it can pull muscle or tear muscles and tendons all our stretches are smooth slow and controlled. it is important to stretch during the class and after to reduce the onset of soreness caused by lactic acid build up
